<p>Provided is a tool holding structure that effectively prevents a cutting tool from falling out from a chuck part. An outer fitting section (A) is formed on the outer surface of a shank part (2) of a cutting tool (T), and an inner fitting section (B) is formed on the inner surface of a chuck part (12) of a tool holder. A fitting member (20), which fits into the outer fitting section and the inner fitting section, is provided. The fitting member (20) has a protruding section (22) that protrudes from the outer periphery of the shank part (2) when fitted to the outer fitting section (A). The tool holding structure is provided with: a rotation-preventing surface, wherein a guide groove (18), which extends from an open side of an internal space (13) to the inner fitting section (B) and guides the protruding section (22) of the fitting member (20), is formed, and a holder body (10) and the cutting tool (T) are prevented from rotating relative to each other due to the protruding section (22) being in contact with the inner fitting section (B); and a slip-out-preventing surface, wherein the cutting tool (T) is prevented from slipping out due to the protruding section (22) being in contact with the inner fitting section (B).</p> |
