<p>In order to provide a vehicle control device that does not easily cause an adverse effect on other controls, lack of electric power, or battery degradation even when the engine is automatically stopped during vehicle travel in an attempt to reduce fuel consumption, a vehicle control device mounted on a vehicle (1) equipped with an alternator (11) and a power steering mechanism (13) comprises: a lane keeping assist control mechanism (31) that performs lane keeping assist control for preventing deviation of the vehicle from a travelling lane by the power steering mechanism (13); and an idling stop control mechanism (32) that automatically stops the engine when a predetermined automatic stop condition is satisfied during vehicle travel. The automatic stop condition includes a condition that the lane keeping assist control is not being implemented.</p> |
