PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspended metal mask for printing having eliminated junction defects of a base metal and a metallic mesh.SOLUTION: In an assembly including: a plate frame 3; a mesh possessing, at the center thereof, an electroconductive metallic mesh 1 and spread in a state where the outer perimeter thereof is being adhered and fixed to the plate frame; and a base metal 5 overlaid contiguously and integrated and joined, in a state where an aperture pattern 5c for printing is being configured thereon, with the metallic mesh based on junction plating, the base metal is obtained by forming the aperture pattern for printing at the center thereof and by forming a dummy aperture pattern 5d surrounding the aperture pattern for printing on the outer perimeter thereof so as to homogenize the thickness of the aperture pattern region for printing and the thickness of the dummy aperture pattern region surrounding the former, whereas an emulsion 14 is filled into the dummy aperture pattern 5d surrounding the aperture pattern for printing in a state where the aperture pattern for printing at the center remains open so as to close the dummy aperture pattern and preclude the printing thereof. |
