PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a developer from leaking out from between an end seal and a developer carrier, while suppressing the occurrence of defective images.SOLUTION: A developing device includes: a developer carrier 3b that carries a developer supplied from a developer container; a magnetic field generating member 3a that is provided inside the developer carrier, and generates a magnetic field for attracting the developer to the developer carrier from a magnetic field generating area; and a seal member 3f that regulates the developer from leaking from a gap between an end in a longitudinal direction of the developer carrier and the developer container. In the longitudinal direction of the developer carrier 3b, an end of the magnetic field generating area of the magnetic field generating member 3a is arranged further inside of an inside end of the seal member; and the developer carrier 3b is brought into contact with an image carrier to develop a latent image formed on the image carrier with the developer. |
