摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing FAU-type zeolite which is excellent in catalytic ability and from which no heavy metal is eluted by effectively utilizing alumino-borosilicate glass, which has become unnecessary and recovered, efficiently without consuming a large amount of energy, as a resource, and to provide a method for producing FAU-type zeolite, which is efficient and in which the reaction is easily controllable.SOLUTION: A method for producing FAU-type zeolite includes: a preparation step to add an aluminum compound and/or a silicon compound to alumino-borosilicate glass, used as a raw material, such that an Si/Al molar ratio becomes 1.6-2.4; an alkali treatment step to bring a mixture of alumino-borosilicate glass and the aluminum compound and/or the silicon compound into contact with an alkali solution; and a hydrothermal synthesis step to conduct a hydrothermal synthesis treatment of the mixture of the alkali solution, the glass, and the aluminum compound and/or the silicon compound obtained in the alkali treatment step.
