A polymer comprising a structure represented by formula 1: wherein X and Y are independently selected from O, S, or Se; R5 and R3 is an aryl group containing from about 2 to about 36 carbon atoms, or a heteroaryl group containing from about 2 to about 30 carbon atoms and may be optionally substituted; R4 is an alkene, alkyne, or an aryl group containing from about 2 to about 36 carbon atoms, or a heteroaryl group containing from about 2 to about 30 carbon atoms and may be optionally substituted; R1 and R2 may be the same or different, and are selected from the group comprising a hydrogen, an alkyl group (linear or branched), a substituted alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an alkylthio group, an aryl group, a substituted aryl group; a, b, and c are independently integers from 0 to 5; and n is the number of repeat units from about 2 to about 5000. |
