<p>The present invention relates to the field of communications. Provided are a power control method for a common E-DCH and a base station. The method comprises: a base station calculating a signal interference ratio (SIR) estimated value of a Common E-DCH in a current adjustment period; the base station acquiring an SIR target value of the Common E-DCH in the current adjustment period according to an SIR target value of the Common E-DCH in a previous adjustment period and a decoding performance index of the Common E-DCH in the current adjustment period; the base station comparing the SIR estimated value in the current adjustment period with the SIR target value in the current adjustment period, and setting an inner-loop power control command according to a comparison result; and the base station sending the inner-loop power control command to a user equipment (UE), to instruct the UE to adjust a transmit power. The present invention achieves long-time stability of the Common E-DCH, expands an applicable service range of the Common E-DCH, and reduces a bit error rate of the Common E-DCH, so that the Common E-DCH is more stable, accurate control of the transmit power of the UE is achieved, interference between users and increase of cell load are reduced, and QoS requirements of users of different types can be met; and the SIR target value for inner-loop power control of the Common E-DCH of the user can more accurately reflect the decoding performance of the channel.</p> |
