<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable information terminal on which a touch operation on a touch panel is performed with one hand and which has touch sensors arranged on a front and a back of a casing and suppresses contacting of the hand holding the casing from being misdetected as a touch operation.SOLUTION: A portable information terminal includes touch sensors 11s, 12 which are arranged on a front and a back of a casing 10 respectively and detect a touch operation; a contact size detection part 22 which detects the contact size of the touch operation; a size comparison part 23 which compares the contact size with a predetermined size threshold; and a touch operation invalidation part 26 which invalidates the touch operation upon the basis of a comparison result of the size comparison part 23, the touch operation being invalidated when the contact size is larger than the size threshold.</p> |
