A System and method for creation and transport of flows. The method includes transmitting an ADDFLOW request to a receiver to add the flow to the wireless network. The method also includes receiving a response message indicating that the flow will be added to the wireless network and delivering the flow to the wireless network. A given flow may be uniquely identified by the concatenation of a flow ID and a flow address. The flow address will always be either the transmitter's or receiver's MAC address. This method could be extended to compress any bit sequences that take on only a limited set of values. |
