<p>A method and an apparatus for producing titanium by means of a fused salt electrolysis method relate to an apparatus for directly producing high-purity titanium by means of the fused salt electrolysis method using titanium tetrachloride as a raw material. The method comprises: using titanium tetrachloride as a raw material, and passing titanium tetrachloride through mixed fused salt of sodium chloride and potassium chloride; using magnesium as an anode and titanium as a cathode to electrolyze titanium tetrachloride to generate magnesium chloride and titanium; and directly depositing the generated titanium on the titanium cathode and performing separation to obtain a titanium product. By means of the method and the apparatus for producing titanium by means of the fused salt electrolysis method, the high purity titanium can be directly produced from titanium tetrachloride, so that sponge titanium is not needed as a raw material, the cost can be saved, and titanium with higher purity can be produced; the produced high-purity titanium is cylindrical or square columnar; the titanium ingot in the shape can be used as a raw material in the following process of an electron beam smelter or a consumable electrode vacuum furnace, so that the processes of briquetting and welding are omitted, and the producing cost is further saved.</p> |
