The generator (1a) has a pressure sensor (28) determining current fluid pressure in a pressure tank (10). An evaluation and control unit (29) i.e. control device, compares the determined current fluid pressure with a preset threshold and outputs a control signal (S1) for activating a filling device (20) when lowering the preset threshold. The filling device fills the pressure tank with fluid and increases pressure in the pressure tank. The evaluation and control unit outputs another control signal (S2) for deactivating the filling device when exceeding the preset threshold.
