<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of desiring a method which does not need advance preparation of learning or the like and has little throughput.SOLUTION: A high frequency component of an input image is extracted, the existence/absence of an edge in the input image is determined from the extracted high frequency component of the input image, and an edge position is estimated in the case of being the existence of the edge. An edge position in an enlargement image obtained by enlarging the input image, corresponding to the estimated edge position is acquired. Then, a pixel value at each pixel position around the edge of the enlargement image is acquired by using a pixel value of the high frequency component of the input image at the position at which the edge position of the high frequency component of the input image overlaps the edge position of the enlargement image. After that, an interpolated pixel value of the high frequency component around the edge and the pixel value of a pixel of the enlargement image are synthesized.</p> |
