METHOD FOR CORRECTING ION DISTORTIONS OF SATELLITE RADAR INTERFEROGRAM AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

The present invention relates to a method for correcting ion distortions of satellite radar interferogram and to an apparatus therefor, and more particularly, to a method for effectively eliminating the ionosphere distortions from satellite radar images using a linear relationship between a phase of an ionosphere distortion in a satellite radar interferogram and a phase of a MAI interferogram, and to an apparatus therefor. For this purpose, the method for correcting ion distortions of satellite radar interferogram according to the present invention, comprises: a preparing step for a MAI interferogram; an adjusting step for the MAI interferogram; a preparing step for the transformed MAI interferogram; a preparing step for an ion distortion interferogram; and an obtaining step for the corrected satellite radar interferogram. In addition, the apparatus for correcting ion distortions of the satellite radar interferogram according to the present invention, comprises: a preparation unit for a forward observation radar interferogram; a preparation unit for a rear observation radar interferogram; a preparation unit for a satellite radar interferogram; a preparation unit for a MAI interferogram; an adjusting unit for the MAI interferogram; a preparation unit for the transformed MAI interferogram; a preparation unit for an ion distortion interferogram; and an obtaining unit for the corrected satellite radar interferogram. The present invention overcomes the difficulty of developing a method for satisfying the accuracy requirement for correcting ion distortions in conventional satellite radar interferograms. Thus, improved results can be obtained by applying the present invention to various disaster prevention activities, such as observation of surface displacements caused by earthquakes and volcanoes and observation of landslides, tree heights, and ground subsidence.
