The valve controller (1)- or actuator has a valve stem (10) of a flow connection (22), where the valve stem has a counter bearing (6) connected with the valve stem in a force- and form-fit manner, and an annular groove (24) connected with the valve stem in a fluidic manner. The annular groove and an armature plate sleeve (25) form a static air bearing (31) with an integral compressed air coil (26). The armature plate sleeve is axially movable from the valve stem and is connected with an armature plate (5) in a force- or form fit manner.
