The press has a plunger (2) provided with a movably mounted cross-element (3) for coupling a feed stroke (7) and a connecting rod (5) to a lower beam (1). Total strokes of the plunger are divided into the feed stroke and a working stroke (28). A drive is supported on the cross-element, and the plunger is moved downwardly to the working stroke. A short-stroke cylinder (16) is provided with a blank holder, and generates ring prongs force, where work force of the plunger is not reduced by the ring prongs force, and the press is equipped with a deep-drawing tool (19) and a fine cutting tool.
