The present invention relates to a composite insulator and a method for manufacturing the same. The insulator of the present invention has a condenser (106) integrally formed inside a tube (100). The condenser (106) is formed by a first electrode (107) and a second electrode (108) provided at predetermined intervals inside a base layer (104) which forms the tube (100). A plurality of condensers (106) formed by the first electrode (107) and the second electrode (108) can be provided in order in a centrifugal direction inside the tube (100). The condenser (106) can be formed such that a cross section thereof is circular by encasing the inside of the tube (100). Therefore, the present invention having the configuration above provides the advantages of simplifying the configuration of the composite insulator has a simplified configuration and is miniaturized, and facilitating the following composite bushing-manufacturing process.
