PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyvinyl alcohol resin composition from which a melt-molded article excellent in flexibility, transparency, and gas barrier properties is obtained.SOLUTION: The resin composition contains: a polyvinyl alcohol resin (A) having a structural unit represented by general formula (1); and a polyester resin (B') with a polar group, which is obtained by graft-polymerizing an α,&bgr;-unsaturated carboxylic acid or its anhydride onto a polyester resin (B) having an alkylene chain in the main chain. The content ratio (A)/(B') of the polyvinyl alcohol resin (A) to the polyester resin (B') is 95/5-65/35 (weight ratio). [In the formula, R, R, and Reach independently represent a hydrogen atom or an organic group; X represents a single bond or a bonding chain; and R, R, and Reach independently represent a hydrogen atom or an organic group.] |
