PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately perform an instruction given by a host device even if a communication error occurs in radio communication between a master unit image forming device asked a proxy response and the host device.SOLUTION: In a printing system, a host device and image forming devices are able to communicate via a radio network, the image forming devices are able to communicate with each other via a wired network, each of the image forming devices is able to operate in a standby state and a power saving state in which at least power is not supplied to a radio network interface, and an image forming device about to shift to the power saving state is able to ask another image forming device connected with the wired network to perform a proxy response. If a master unit image forming device receives a packet transmitted by a host device toward a sub-unit image forming device via a radio network and a communication error occurs when receiving the packet, it instructs another image forming device connected with the wired network to receive a packet. |
