Provided is a hydropower generation apparatus that can suppress resistance to the rotation of a runner to increase power generation efficiency, and can prevent water contamination. The hydropower generation apparatus is provided with a first water storage tank (20) to which an ejection port (21) for high-pressure water is provided in the bottom surface, a runner (40) stored in a floating state in the first water storage tank, and a plurality of transmission members (50) for transmitting the rotational force of the runner to a main rotating shaft (61) of a power generator body (60), the plurality of transmission members being in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the runner. The runner is provided with: a casing (41) having a bottomed cylindrical shape and having an opening (41b) in the middle of the bottom surface; a lead-in pipe (42) for leading high-pressure water ejected from the ejection port into the casing, the lead-in pipe being arranged vertically from the opening; a first lead-out pipe (43) extending radially from the circumference of the lead-in pipe to the inside surface of the casing; and a first spraying nozzle (44) provided to the distal end of the first lead-out pipe; the runner being rotated using the reactive force of high-pressure water sprayed from the first spraying nozzle. Because there are no bearings, there are no problems of the rotating efficiency of the runner falling due to frictional resistance of the bearings, or problems of the lubricating oil leaking out to the exterior of the apparatus. |
