The present invention provides a polarized light display device using a shadow, which can obtain a unique display effect by utilizing a shadow as a display element. The polarized light display device (1000) using a shadow, according to a first aspect of the present invention, comprises: a polarized light source (80) which emits polarized light; and a decoration or sign member (51) which is spaced from the polarized light source (80), and which receives and transmits the polarized light emitted from the polarized light source (80) so as to enable double refraction of the transmitted light. A polarized light shadow projecting means (60) upon which a shadow of the decoration or sign member (51) caused by the light of the polarized light source (80) is projected, is provided behind the polarized light source (80). The shadow of the decoration or sign member (51) projected upon the polarized light shadow projecting means (60) is colored. |
