PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a radionuclide adsorbent capable of obtaining the radionuclide adsorbent further improved in adsorbing performance of cesium and strontium, respectively.SOLUTION: A granular crystal silica titanate (CST) is supplied into a caustic processor 2 from an adsorbent raw material supply device 3. An aqueous sodium hydroxide having a concentration of 1 mol/L in a caustic agent supply device 6 is supplied into the caustic processor 2 supplied with the granular CST. After a prescribed amount of the aqueous sodium hydroxide is supplied to the caustic processor 2, the supply of the aqueous sodium hydroxide to the caustic processor 2 is stopped. The granular CST is left at rest for 0.5 hours and subjected to caustic processing in a state of being immersed in the aqueous sodium hydroxide within the caustic processor 2. After that, the granular CST subjected to the caustic processing is cleansed in cleaning water within a cleaning water supply device 9. The respective adsorbent performances of cesium and strontium of the granular CST which is subjected to the causing processing is further improved. |
