<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a copolymer of anα-olefin and a polar group-containing comonomer, by which the polymerization activity is enhanced, the copolymerizability of the polar group-containing comonomer is improved, and a copolymer having a high molecular weight and excellent physical properties is formed, when producing a copolymer of theα-olefin and the polar group-containing comonomer.SOLUTION: The method for producing a copolymer of anα-olefin and a polar group-containing comonomer comprises bringing an organometallic compound into contact with the polar group-containing comonomer and then performing a copolymerization in the presence of a transition metal complex in which an arylphosphine compound, an aryl arsine compound or an aryl antimony compound, which may have a substituent, is coordinated.</p> |
