<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cache replacement policy for a data processing system.SOLUTION: A data processing system comprises: a cache memory 58 and a cache control circuit 56 for applying cache replacement policy based on a holding priority value PV stored together with each cache line 66 in the cache memory 58. An initial holding priority value set when the cache line 66 is inserted into the cache memory 58 depends on one or both of which of a plurality of sources has issued a memory access request bringing about insertion and a privilege level of the memory access request bringing about the insertion. The initial holding priority level of the cache line caused by a command fetch is set different from a cache line caused by data access.</p> |
