PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for reducing spectral spread caused by large power fluctuations in power control settings.SOLUTION: A first wireless device generates symbols for transmission to a second wireless device. Adaptive power control is applied to the transmissions, for example, at symbol or frame boundaries. When a transmission power gain adjustment value exceeds a threshold value, all or part of the gain adjustment values may be performed with respect to the generated symbols before the symbols are combined in overlap and additional processing. A part of the gain adjustment is also performed through adjustment of the power amplifier. When the gain adjustment value does not exceed the threshold value, all of the gain adjustment are performed through adjustment of the power amplifier. |
