Provided is a reductant supply device that impedes the refilling of a pump side with a liquid reductant after retraction control for the liquid reductant has ended, and a method for controlling such a reductant supply device. A reductant supply device is configured so that during operation of an internal combustion engine, liquid reductant in a storage tank is pressure-fed by a pump and the liquid reductant is injected into an exhaust passage of the internal combustion engine by a reductant injection valve, and when the internal combustion engine has stopped, the liquid reductant remaining in a reductant supply channel is retracted into the storage tank. In the method for controlling this reductant supply device, the retraction control is initiated when the internal combustion engine has stopped, and when the retraction control has ended, a reductant passage connecting the pump and the storage tank is opened to the atmosphere. |
