Provided are a system, device and method for transmitting a multicast service. The system comprises: a first multicast ring comprising a first node, a second node and at least one third node; a second multicast ring comprising a first node, at least one fourth node and a second node which are connected in sequence, wherein each of the first node and the second node comprises: a first port and a third port which are used for receiving and forwarding a multicast service on the first multicast ring; and a second port used for forwarding the multicast service received from the first multicast ring to the second multicast ring when being used as a main port, and blocking to forward the multicast service received from the first multicast ring to the second multicast ring when being used as a standby port. In a normal condition, one of the second port of the first node and the second port of the second node is used as a main port, and the other of the second port of the first node and the second port of the second node is used as a standby port. By proving main and standby ports at the convergent nodes of the multicast rings, the present invention improves the security of the system. |
