This rotary machine comprises a rotor provided so as to be capable of rotating, and a resin-moulded stator. The stator comprises a stator core, coils, and a moulded part. Each tooth of the stator core comprises: a first opposing part; and second opposing parts. The first opposing part includes a first opposing surface that forms an air gap, the width of which is a first distance, with the rotor. The second opposing parts are integrated with the first opposing part in the circumferential direction with the axis of rotation of the rotor at the centre, and each include a second opposing surface that forms an air gap, the width of which is a second distance which is longer than the first distance. The second opposing parts each comprise a groove part in the second opposing surface. The moulded part comprises a first moulded part. The first moulded part covers the second opposing parts, is provided to the groove parts, and includes a third opposing surface that forms an air gap, the width of which is the first distance. |
