A film containing a polypeptide derived from a spider silk protein. The decomposition temperature of the film is 240 to 260ºC, and the film can absorb ultraviolet ray having a light wavelength of 200 to 300 nm, has a light transmission rate of 85% or more at a light wavelength of 400 to 780 nm and is colorless and transparent in a visible light region. A production method according to the present invention comprises dissolving a polypeptide derived from a spider silk protein in a dimethyl sulfoxide solvent to produce a dope solution and then carrying out the cast molding of the dope solution on the surface of a base. Thus, a spider silk protein film which can be formed readily and has good stretchability and a method for producing the spider silk protein film are provided. |
