<p>The present invention relates to the technical field of storage. Disclosed are a partition expansion method and device, which can increase the number of partitions in physical nodes during expansion of a distributed storage system, thereby ensuring expansibility of the distributed storage system. The specific solution comprises: acquiring an average value of the number of partitions in all physical nodes in a distributed storage system (101); if the average value of the number of partitions is smaller than a preset threshold, multiplying the number of partitions in each physical node (102); and adding mappings between newly added partitions and the physical nodes where the newly added partitions are located into a pre-stored distributed hash table (DHT) (103). The solution is applicable to an expansion process of a distributed storage system.</p> |
