PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap appearance inspection device capable of highly accurately measuring the inner side of a cap sealing the opening of a bottle.SOLUTION: A cap appearance inspection device 1 includes: a first light source part 3 capable of radiating diffusion light having a first wavelength from obliquely above toward the inner surface of a cap 100 having circular irregularities on its inner surface; a second light source part 4 capable of radiating parallel light having a second wavelength from above toward the inner surface of the cap 100; an area camera 2 for imaging the inner surface of the cap 100, the area camera 2 being disposed coaxially with the optical axis of the second light source part 4; and a determination unit 5 for determining boundary positions 107-111 of irregularities 103, 104 and 105 on the inner surface of the cap 100 on the basis of a first image with the light from the first light source part 3 and a second image with the light from the second light source part 4 taken by the area camera 2.
