<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device such as a camera and a display method capable of displaying a display object such as an AF frame at a position intended by a photographer by preventing it from being hidden with the finger or the like in advance without making a subject or background displayed on a display hard to view.SOLUTION: An imaging device includes: imaging means 3 for imaging a subject image formed by a lens unit 2; and display means 4. The display means is configured to display an image output by the imaging means, and to detect the first proximity state and second proximity state of a user. The display means is configured to display a first display object indicating a focus adjustment area in the display image of the subject image in accordance with the detection of the first proximity state. The display means is configured to display a second display object indicating a focusing instruction area in the display image of the subject image in accordance with the detection of the second proximity state.</p> |
