<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of detection values from sensors provided on a dummy of a human being in a vehicle collision test apparatus mainly composed of the dummy.SOLUTION: A dummy 9 sitting down a seat 8 of a vehicle 1 has hips 18 placed on the seat 8, a backbone 19 extending upwardly from the upper surface of the rear part of the hips 18, and ribs 21 curving and extending from the upper part of the backbone 19 to the front part of the backbone 19. A displacement sensor 41 is attached to the backbone 19 in such a manner that the displacement sensor 41 is located at the front side of the lower part of the backbone 19. At the time of collision of the front part of the vehicle 1, the displacement sensor 41 detects the amount of displacement of the ribs 21 with respect to the backbone 19. A load sensor 44 and/or a relative-position sensor 61 are provided. When the collision of the front part of the vehicle 1 causes the backbone 19 and the displacement sensor 41 to make a turn A forward and downward around the lower end part of the backbone 19, the load sensor 44 detects a load from the displacement sensor 41 side against the hips 18 side, and the relative-position sensor 61 detects a relative position of the displacement sensor 41 with respect to the hips 18 side.</p> |
