<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for measuring nonlinear parameters of a subject. According to one embodiment, the present invention relates to an apparatus for measuring nonlinear parameters of a subject using ultrasonic signals, including: an ultrasonic buffer unit connected to one side of the subject and inputting the ultrasound signals to the subject; an ultrasonic generating unit which generates the ultrasonic signals by generating tone-bursts; a probe connected to the ultrasonic buffer unit and inputting the ultrasonic signals generated by the ultrasonic generating unit to the ultrasonic buffer unit; an input ultrasonic signal measuring unit which irradiates the ultrasonic buffer unit with a laser beam and measures the ultrasonic signals inputted to the subject; an output ultrasonic signal measuring unit which irradiates the other side of the subject with a laser beam and measures the ultrasonic signals outputted from the subject; and a nonlinear parameter calculating unit which calculates nonlinear parameters of the subject on the basis of the ultrasonic signals measured by the input and output ultrasonic signal measuring units.</p>
