<p>Disclosed is a cell reselection method. The method comprises: judging whether a terminal is in an idle state or not, and if so, detecting a standby state of the terminal; according to the standby state of the terminal, setting a reselection cycle of the terminal; and controlling the terminal to perform cell reselection after the reselection cycle has ended. Also disclosed is a cell reselection apparatus. In the present invention, a cycle for a terminal to perform cell reselection is set according to a standby state of the terminal. After the cycle has ended, cell reselection is performed. The reselection cycles corresponding to various standby states are different, thereby reducing the number of times of performing cell reselection operations when the terminal is in an idle state, and saving the energy consumption of the terminal.</p> |
