<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect abnormality in a series-parallel connected secondary battery cell or battery pack constituting a power storage device, or abnormality in connections thereof, thereby securing safety and reliability of the power storage device.SOLUTION: This power storage device comprises: a battery module composed of a plurality of cell groups in which a switch and at least one single cell are connected in series, the plurality of cell groups being connected in parallel or in serial parallel; a battery control device for controlling the battery module and detecting abnormality in connection paths of the single cells and cell groups of the battery module, the battery control device being provided with a switch control unit for switching the switch to select one of the cell groups, and a first voltage detection circuit for detecting the voltage of the cell group selected by the switch control unit; and diagnostic means for diagnosing abnormality in the battery module and abnormality in the connection of the battery module by detecting, in a first voltage detection unit, the voltage of the cell group selected by the switch control unit.</p> |
