摘要 Provided is a method for manufacturing an inexpensive aluminum alloy in which an Al-Fe-Si-based compound and primary crystal Si can be caused to finely crystallize through use of a simple means. AlB2, which is present as a solid phase in an aluminum alloy melt during crystallization of the Al-Fe-Si-based compound, is added, so that the amount of B is within the range of 0.01 to 0.5 mass% relative to the entire aluminum alloy melt, to the aluminum alloy melt containing 8 to 20 mass% of Si and 0.5 to 4 mass% of Fe, and, depending on requirement: 0.005 to 2.5 mass% of Mn and/or 0.5 mass% or less of Cr; one or more of 0.5 to 6 mass% of Ni, 0.5 to 8 mass% of Cu, and 0.05 to 1.5 mass% of Mg; and 0.003 to 0.02 mass% of P; with the remainder made up of Al and unavoidable impurities. An Al-B alloy containing B as AlB2 is preferably used as the AlB2.
