<p>The present invention addresses the problem of providing a static vanadium redox battery that can be made with a low internal resistance, making it possible to efficiently realize a high energy density, has a large capacity, and can be made small and lightweight. The present invention pertains to a static vanadium redox battery characterized by containing the following: electrodes, namely a positive electrode and a negative electrode, each comprising an electrolyte that contains vanadium as an active material and a porous collector comprising a carbonaceous material that supports the electrolyte; and a porous membrane that separates the two electrodes. This static vanadium redox battery is further characterized in that the porosity of each collector is less than or equal to 90%.</p> |
