<p>This system is provided with the following: a first power source facility (2) outside of a target region (1); a power transmission network (4) for transmitting power from the first power source facility (2); a power transmission line (6) linking the power transmission network (4) and an internal power system (7) within the target region; a second power source facility (3) within the target region (1); and an internal power control device (8) for stabilizing the state of power supply in the internal power system (7). The amount of power that can be supplied to the internal power system (7) from an external power system (9) which includes the first power source facility (2), the power transmission network (4), and the power transmission line (6), is less than the peak power demand in the target region (1). The internal power control device (8) adjusts the amount of power supplied by the second power source facility (3) on the basis of results of measurements of voltage and frequency in the internal power system (7) so that the power supply state in the internal power system (7) will be stable. It is thus possible to provide a power supply system that can appropriately respond to power demand in the target region while keeping construction and maintenance costs for power transmission infrastructure in check.</p> |
