<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuously variable transmission for a bicycle having a simple mechanism and to provide a bicycle hub provided with the continuously variable transmission.SOLUTION: A continuously variable transmission for a bicycle includes a ring roller 58, at least one conical planetary roller 60, a sun roller 64 and a roller carrier 62. The conical planetary roller 60 is engaged with the ring roller 58 by virtue of friction. The conical planetary roller 60 can be rotated around an axial line of a roller axis. The sun roller 64 is engaged with the conical planetary roller 60 by virtue of friction. The roller carrier 62 supports both ends of the roller axis of the conical planetary roller 60. The roller carrier 62 can be moved together with the conical planetary roller 60 along a prescribed axis.</p> |
