<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device capable of correctly reading the image of a medium that cannot be flatly placed on the upper surface of an original platen.SOLUTION: An image reading device 1 includes: an original platen 3 for placing a medium with an image formed thereon; a light source 7 for irradiating the medium placed on the original platen 3 with light; an image sensor 9 for detecting reflection light from the medium; and a rod lens array 11 disposed between the image sensor 9 and the original platen 3. The rod lens array 11 is positioned at a position where a distance from the original side end surface of a rod lens to the upper surface of the original platen is shorter than a distance from the image sensor side end surface of the rod lens to the rod lens side end surface of the image sensor.</p> |
