<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mining system to readily mine valuable seabed resources existing in Japanese coastal waters.SOLUTION: A seabed mining system in this invention comprises a core rod 1 attached with a drill, a drill drive unit 11, a mine drive machine 2, a mining frame 3, a conveyor 4, a ship-bound conveyor 5 and a gas-collection sheet 6. The seabed mining system: drills a hole in the seabed at the center of the target mining area; inserts the core rod 1 attached with a drill; extends the mining frame 3 with the core rod as center; pushes around the mining frame 3 by the mine drive machine 2 attached at the outside end of the mining frame 3 to remove unwanted soil; scrape up seabed resource material when appears, and store it to a ship via the conveyor 4 and the ship-bound conveyor 5; and collects a gas resources gasified and rising from the seabed with use of the gas-collection sheet 6.</p> |
