<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of easily aligning rotational phases of photoreceptors at low costs, while preventing adhesion of a residual toner to the photoreceptors such as photoconductor drums.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes photoconductor drums 101a to 101d, driving motors 102a and 102d that drive the photoconductor drums 101a to 101d, a motor control unit 204 that controls the operation of the driving motors 102a and 102d, and a printer control unit 201. The printer control unit 201 stops the rotation of the photoconductor drums 101a to 101d at reference positions after completion of a print job, after the lapse of a prescribed time from the completion of the print job, microscopically drives the photoconductor drums 101a to 101d for the duration of microscopic driving time, and calculates the amounts of drive of the driving motors 102a and 102d at the duration of time. At the start-up of the subsequent print job, the printer control unit 201 adjusts the start-up timing of each of the driving motors 102a and 102d according to the amounts of drive to reduce a variation due to the microscopic drive.</p> |
