The tool has a connection head (3) arranged at a device-sided end (2) of a shaft (1) and adapted to a tool holder of a hammer or bit apparatus for use with the tool. A cup shaped retainer (5) is provided at a tool-side end (4) of the shaft. A rammer insert (6) is made of a hard-rubber material and held in the cup shaped retainer. The cup shaped retainer comprises a flat-cylindrical inner mold, with which a fixing graft of the rammer insert is engaged. The fixing graft is engaged with the retainer in a snug fit manner.
