APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ADJUSTING A DEVELOPING BIAS

An apparatus (10) for adjusting a developing bias comprises a photosensitive drum (11), a charge roller (12) for supplying power to the photosensitive drum (11), and a developer roller (13) for conveying carbon powder to the photosensitive drum (11). The developer roller (13) is connected to a rated power source (14) for applying a fixed bias on the developer roller (13), so as to form a voltage difference between the developer roller (13) and the photosensitive drum (11). The apparatus (10) further comprises a variable voltage source (15) connected to the developer roller (13). The variable voltage source (15) is used to apply on the developer roller (13) a variable voltage reverse to the fixed bias, where the fix bias and the variable voltage are superposed to adjust a developing bias on the developer roller (13). Through the control of a developing bias, the movement of carbon powder can be controlled, so as to control the utilization of the carbon powder during printing. Further disclosed is a method for adjusting a developing bias.
