PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus capable of efficiently determining an F0 optimum for avoiding a banding artifact and having little operation load.SOLUTION: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus is characterized by comprising: an imaging condition setting unit for setting an imaging condition of a true scan; a preparatory scan execution unit for repeating a preparatory scan, which is performed by using an imaging condition of the true scan and a center frequency inputted changeably, to form a preparatory image on real time; a display unit for displaying said preparatory image on real time; an optimum center frequency setting unit for changing the center frequency to vary the generation state of a banding artifact, and for setting the center frequency on the basis of the preparatory image and at the time when the banding artifact is avoided from an observation object by a user operation, as an optimum center frequency; and a true scan execution unit using said optimum center frequency set, to reconstruct a diagnostic image. |
