The present invention relates to a ternary carbon dioxide absorbent and a carbon dioxide absorption method and separation method using same, the absorbent comprising ternary alkanolamines having different structures, that is, a secondary alkanolamine which is a primary absorbent and has steric hindrance, a secondary alkanolamine which is a speed enhancer and does not have steric hindrance, and a tertiary dialkanolamine which is a regeneration promoter and has steric hindrance. The present invention not only has an excellent carbon dioxide absorption capacity and a rapid carbon dioxide absorption rate, but also has a remarkably low absorbent regeneration temperature compared with a conventional alkanolamine-based absorbent and thus can significantly reduce the entire energy consumption required for an absorption process, and can also prevent recovered carbon dioxide from being contaminated with moisture and absorbent vapor, owing to the low regeneration temperature.
