Provided are a method, device and system for processing a message, being applied to the technical field of communications. The method specifically comprises: in networking where the control plane of a remote-end device is separated from the forwarding plane thereof, an access device connected to the remote-end device receives a location configuration message from the remote-end device, and adds acquired location information thereof into the message, thereby solving the problem that corresponding location information cannot be added into a location configuration message when the control plane of a remote-end device is separated from the forwarding plane thereof in access networking.
