<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient illumination device of which the power consumption is still smaller than that of a conventional light-emitting diode illumination device or an illumination device which is sensed brighter to a human eye with the power consumption equal with a conventional one. <P>SOLUTION: This illumination device 1 includes an illumination light-emitting diode 2, and a power supply for the illumination light-emitting diode which periodically supplies power to this illumination light-emitting diode 2 in a pulse state, and makes the illumination light-emitting diode 2 periodically emit light in a pulse state, thereby enabling the human to feel brighter even with a small optical flux. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
