<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device which prevents a halo image from being generated in two-component contact DC developing, and an image forming apparatus including the developing device. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device includes a developer carrying roller facing a latent image carrier. A magnetic brush formed on the developer carrier by a developer including a non-magnetic toner and a magnetic carrier is brought into contact with the latent image carrier to develop a latent image on the latent image carrier. In the developing device, a plurality of insulating linear members are arranged parallel to the image carrier at regular intervals in the longitudinal direction of the latent image carrier near the surface of the latent image carrier. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
