Location dependent recovery system

A registration system (100) for handling account registrations is provided. The system comprises an account registration unit (110), a location unit (140) and a recovery unit (160). The account registration unit (110) is configured to establish digital login credentials for a user of a first client device, the login credentials allowing the user to login to a digital service (135). The location unit (140) is configured to receive over a second electronic data network (150) an electronic enrollment message (142) and later a recovery message. The enrollment and recovery message are linked to the login credentials. For example, the recovery message may sent in case the login credentials are compromised or forgotten. The second electronic network is arranged to determine a geographic enrollment location and a geographic recovery location indicating where the enrollment and recovery message respectively originated. The recovery unit (160) is configured to retrieve in electronic form the geographic enrollment location associated to the login credentials to which the recovery message is linked, and to determine that the enrollment location and the recovery location are within a distance threshold of each other, and in dependence upon a successful determination starting a login recovery action for the login credentials.
